Patong Beach

Patong, Phuket after lock down

Our flight got cancelled with Thai Airways ( Again!) , at the same time Phuket just unlock down the city on February 1, 2021…then the beach we love is waiting so we flew there and happy with our decision!

Yes, it’s devastating when you dont see much tourist, less vendors sell ting things, quite at night due to curfew still on going BUT the nature and the peaceful beautiful beach is waiting for you there.

Patong Beach
Patong Beach in front of Four Points Hotel

We stay in Four points by Sheraton Hotel front of Patong beach next to Graceland Hotel. The hotel was newly builded after Covid situation on last 2020 end and its now open again.

We choose pool access because i was thought in case if the beach close due to situation, we still have pool access for swimming (Well, you can’t swim in ASQ hotel anyway ^^) or if the pool closing down, you still can walk to beach front of hotel 🙂

So here we go PATONG BEACH! Thank you for make us feel home away from home

We will back to PHUKET for sure! Stay safe and Stay Healthy!

Goodbye Philippines. Hello Thailand :-)

During Pandemic, we had cancelled our travel plan in several destination, including Thailand on last February. In that’s time Covid-19 virus just started. So to be safe, we just stay where we are and that’s was in the Philippines.

Time pass by, we heard the news, the lockdown in Metro Manila starting hard from March which was ECQ ( Enhance Community Quarantine) until December 1, the city is now under GCQ (General Community Quarantine)

So for me, I am from Thailand and of course its time for me to go home when Philippines getting better in somehow and the repatriated flight from Thailand was started from October. But then it will take time and take cue and plan weather I will go home alone or with my husband.

Finally, I’ve learn the rules of all arrival passenger to Thailand must quarantine 15 days (Day arrived consider day ZERO) so better quarantine together, then decision take him with me is good idea 🙂

To start of document. We applied Non-O Immigrant visa since we married legally from Philippines ( We dont have married cert yet in Thailand) but at least you have legal document to support.

Non-O Visa process take almost a month since the Royal Thai Embassy busy for both Repatriated flight and Several Visa to Thailand after Thailand open country. I waiting for December flight and I found 1st commercial flight from Philippines Airline and we were so happy.

Aside from that’s Covid-19 insurance is needed. In summary here what you need when you travel to Thailand in whatever visa you may hold, here our timeline

Mahanakorn Building #Bangkok

So we have one day free in Bangkok and I took time off for easy day for us and we thinking why dont try to visit new building name Mahanakorn Building.

We called and ask for promotion on weekday and yes! we got it. So walked in promotion cost 680THB until the TOP.

King Power MahaNakhon (Thaiคิง เพาเวอร์ มหานคร), formerly known as MahaNakhon (มหานคร), is a mixed-use skyscraper in the Silom/Sathon central business district of BangkokThailand. It was opened in December 2016.[1] It features the unconventional appearance of a glass curtain walled square tower with a cuboid-surfaced spiral cut into the side of the building. Following transfer of the first residential units in April 2016, at 314.2 metres (1,031 ft) with 77 floors, it was recognized as the tallest building in Thailand on 4 May 2016 by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).[2] Featuring hotel, retail and residences, 200 units of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok inside the building are priced between around $US1,100,000 to $US17,000,000, making it one of the most expensive condominiums in Bangkok.[3]

The building was recognised as the tallest building in Thailand until the Magnolias Waterfront Residences at ICONSIAM breaks the record in 2018 with the height of 317 metre. More info, please refer wiki here

Thailand might not so common when it’s come to Christmas Celebration but  NYE is one of the best moment in Bangkok you can’t miss.

Here’s some inspiration for your 2017/18 new year celebrations in Bangkok.

1. Countdown to midnight at Central World

Just like many countries around the world, 31 December sees a large-scale and popular countdown to the new year, most visibly on the streets of Siam in the centre of Bangkok.

Take the BTSSkytrain to Chitlom Station, Exit and walk directly connected to Central World by a skywalk. Things usually get going at around 6pm, but you might want to arrive early to beat the inevitable crowds to a decent spot.

This is previous year. Looking forward for excited more!

The Sky Bar Rooftop at Lebua offers the most stunning views of the Chao Phraya River. Banyan Tree, Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar, Above Eleven and Three Sixty are all rooftop bars that offer matchless views, plus great DJ music, much dancing, drinks, fireworks and all the NYE trappings we love, plus the feeling that you’re on top of the world. Partying at one of Thailand’s rooftop bars is one the best things to do in Thailand.
