Thailand might not so common when it’s come to Christmas Celebration but  NYE is one of the best moment in Bangkok you can’t miss.

Here’s some inspiration for your 2017/18 new year celebrations in Bangkok.

1. Countdown to midnight at Central World

Just like many countries around the world, 31 December sees a large-scale and popular countdown to the new year, most visibly on the streets of Siam in the centre of Bangkok.

Take the BTSSkytrain to Chitlom Station, Exit and walk directly connected to Central World by a skywalk. Things usually get going at around 6pm, but you might want to arrive early to beat the inevitable crowds to a decent spot.

This is previous year. Looking forward for excited more!

Everything is Big in Shanghai! In my view.

It’s been awhile since our last journey story.  Our Journey started from Manila. We flew in last June 2017 and the purpose is for transited.

And if you remember previous post #China we received tourist visa single entry to China but because of we transmitted so the way back from destination, we just need visa on arrival as Transit Visa at the airport and its FREE!!!

Let’s start.

Flight : China Eastern Airline  flight to Shanghai.

Time fly : 3 hours

Visa : Tourist Visa for Thailand and Filipino

Hotel :  We stay at service apartment hotel, where we can cook and do our laundry before heading to next destination. It was Serviced Apartment Pudong Lujiazui Shanghai! Might be not so perfect for english speaker but good price and not to far from Subway.

1st Big, in my view is – Shanghai pudong airport

Pudong Airport occupies a 40-square-kilometre (10,000-acre) site adjacent to the coastline in eastern Pudong.

Pudong Airport is a fast-growing hub for both passenger and cargo traffic. As per statistic 2016

We started from hotel at 8am, took subway from hotel to shanghai railway station, exit 6 [Subway map]

  • Below get inside terminal, must buy ticket at counter before enter, any counter will do.
  • There are lot of food inside terminal, go early because its big!

3rd Big in my view – Mercedes-Benz Arena (Shanghai)

The Mercedes-Benz Arena (Chinese梅赛德斯-奔驰文化中心pinyinMéisàidésī-bēnchí Wénhuà Zhōngxīn; Shanghainese:Meisedesy-bentzy Venhu Tsonshin), formerly known as the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Center, is an indoor arena located on the former grounds of Expo 2010 in PudongShanghaiChina. It is owned and operated by the AEG-OPG joint venture.

The facility seats 18,000 people and includes a smaller venue, The Mixing Room & Muse, which is a more intimate live-music venue.[1]

The arena hosted the opening ceremony for the Expo 2010, during which it was known as the Expo Cultural Centre. Continue wiki here

To bad, there was rain when we came down there so we just only walked around at mall aside and enjoy view with foggy surrounded there.

4th Big in my view – The Bund
You won’t miss this if you in Shanghai. Some said its main business district, probably true, some said ..its a place where you can chill out the sunset, chill drink and a good pal. Well, i don’t know but for me. Its huge than I thought and it is everything!

we believe its worth to visit in our term. There also a lot of things to do, to go, to see in China.

Hong Kong – The Peak Tram

The best way to enjoy and get more chance to take picture if in early morning, we did made it by 8am in the morning and its absolutely nice and fresh air.

We purchase ticket at the counter. This is my 2nd visit so I feel difference when I went on afternoon and early morning. There is no Queuing at all in early morning.

Peak Tram Operating Hours :
7 am to 12 midnight (Mon – Sun & Public Holidays)

Via Boat From Star Ferry Pier (Kaoloon side) Pier No. 7 >>> to Star Ferry Pier Hong Kong side and take bus No. 15C from Central Pier its will take you 10 min (3 stops until you reach Peak Tram)Capture

We were enjoy the fresh air, the view and see the people who live here enjoy jogging in the morning.

The strong wind in the morning, the cold air can make your hair go up!

Compare with the evening visit.

Take Ferry and enjoy the harbor view.

Filipinos may enter Taiwan visa-free starting June

Come June, Filipinos can go to Taiwan visa-free as the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has granted an exemption for Philippine travelers, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Manila has confirmed to ABS-CBN News.

The visa-free grant will be implemented on a trial basis for a year, starting June 1, 2017.

The TECO has yet to release details, but a Taiwanese news website reported on Wednesday that Filipinos may stay in Taiwan visa-free for up to 30 days.

The new policy is part of efforts of Taiwan to draw in more travelers from Southeast Asia.

Last October, Taiwan relaxed visa requirements for Filipinos, offering visa-free entry to Filipinos who have been issued visas to enter Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, any of the Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, or the United States.

TECO in Manila is expected to make the formal announcement on the visa exemption after the Holy Week.

Taiwan is an emerging destination for Filipino travelers, as the flight takes less than two hours.
